Inspired by the remarkable work of former DreamWorks Animator turned Cake Artisan, Fernanda Abarca, Chammarie embarked on a journey to carve her own path in the culinary arts.

Originally trained as a Flight Stewardess with Sri Lankan Airlines, Chammarie’s transition to becoming an “Architect of Cake Molding” was driven by her unwavering commitment, dedication, and an impeccable eye for detail. Her passion for chocolate and fondant modeling propelled her to hone her skills under the guidance of renowned mentors like Carla Puig and Emma Jane, where she mastered the intricate art of chocolate molding and sculpting.

Chammarie’s talent has garnered international acclaim, with her lifelike masterpiece of Mother Teresa earning her a prestigious accolade at the Art of Cake Competitions in France. Noteworthy among her impressive portfolio are her iconic creations such as ‘The Game of Thrones Chair’ and the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean Cake,’ which was showcased at the cake convention organized by the Reems Siraj, which captivated audiences with their sheer artistry and attention to detail.

Recognized as the Sculpted Cake Artist of the Year at the 2018 Sri Lanka Cake Awards, hosted by Finest Bakes, Chammarie’s expertise is undisputed in the industry.
